By opting for materials like organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, and silk, we minimize the ecological footprint of our products, reducing water usage and eliminating harmful chemicals.

Once upon a time, in a quiet and small town of Ajmer (Rajasthan), there lived a young girl named Arpita. Ever since she was a child, she had a penchant for creativity and art. She would secretly draw clothes in her school notebooks, dreaming of becoming a fashion designer one day.

As she grew older, her passion for fashion design never waned, but life took a different turn and she gradually drifted from her childhood dream. The recent increase in the culture of overconsumption and mindless shopping brought her back to her childhood love for fashion but this time with a problem in hand.

She was never excited about shopping malls and supermarkets. She never fully understood why until now when she realized how the excessive use of resources and wastefulness in the fashion industry troubled her deeply. But it wasn't until her sister's wedding that her creative fire was reignited. As she searched for sustainable fashion brands to find occasion wear outfits that were made of natural fabrics but were still loud, fun and exciting. She was disappointed with the lack of options that aligned with her values. There seemed to be a dearth of eco-friendly brands that offered eco-conscious, occasion-appropriate attire.

That is when Mrigdhi was born. ‘Mrig’ in Hindi stands for Deer and ‘dhi’ in Sanskrit is design. The name symbolizes the core essence of the brand. That is - nature inspired designs. Arpita is a Delhi University graduate and post graduate in Political Science. It was her in depth knowledge of this subject that made her understand the importance of every individual in building a conscious community. She took a leap of faith in believing in community conscience and ‘Mrigdhi’ is in your hands now.

Mrigdhi's foundation is built on strong ethical principles. Arpita is determined to support local artists and preserve traditional fabric dying, stitching & hand embroidery art. The brand had a strict no child labor policy, ensuring that the garments are produced ethically and responsibly. Fair wages for the skilled artisans who put their heart and soul into creating the clothing are a core part of the brand's philosophy.
